Tunnock's Tea Cakes Dark Chocolate (pack of 6 - 36 pieces)

These tea cakes would be wonderful if they hadn't arrived having melted into squished, misshapen little hunks. It took over a week from the time they were shipped 'til they arrived here in Arkansas, and were delayed in shipping three separate times, which of course exposed them to more temperature variations (and heat, no doubt). The flavor was still good, though! The soft marshmallow is especially nice. Best to order in cold weather.

I love the soft marshmallowy insides, combined with the crisp cookie (sorry, BISCUIT) an the bottom and the thin chocolate shell. America snacks just don't cut it once you've had a Tunnock's. They look very nice when arranged on a plate for tea.

I hadn't had a Tunnock's tea cake since a childhood visit to my grandmother in Scotland. Perhaps it was partly nostalgia, but they taste just as wonderful as I remember. Shared a couple with a friend who'd never had them and now she's pestering me to order more! And I will.

The dark chocolate was amazing, the cake delicious and the topping spectacular.
