Established in 1885, Tiptree is known for crafting premium fruit spreads sourced from their own farm in England. Cooked in small batches using traditional methods, to cherished recipes ensuring the highest quality and always free from artificial additives, colors, and flavors.
Tea (Produce of more than One Country).
The Wilkin family has been farming at Tiptree, Essex, since 1757, and today the business is run by Peter Wilkin, great grandson of our founder. Our fruit crops include strawberry, raspberry, loganberry, mulberry, blackberry, morello cherry, rhubarb, damson, Victoria plum, greengage, quince and the curious medlar. We believe that we are unique in the world in growing this difficult crop, but it is worth it for its depth of taste.
Our tea experts have decades of experience in seeking out the best teas from the top gardens in the world, and skillfully blending flavour-packed fruits and herbs to create our infusions. And our coffee team includes several ‘Q Graders’ – an internationally recognised tasting accreditation held by only 40 people in the country. And we’re extremely proud to say that the way we make our tea and coffee has earned us the Royal Warrant, as an official supplier to the Prince of Wales.
Today, the farms cover 850 acres with every acre managed and farmed in ways that support and nurture the environment. We farm to LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming) standards using their Integrated Farm Management (IFM) framework. Put simply, that means everything from energy uses, waste management, water and soil management is part of the management process. More recently, the Tiptree estate has become a Demonstration Farm for LEAF, helping to explain more about farming and how it fits with local communities and the countryside today.
