Taylors of Harrogate
Extraordinary Flavor
Taylors of Harrogate has had a deep fascination with flavor since 1886 – and we think you can taste the difference.
Taylors of Harrogate is an independent family tea and coffee company from Harrogate in Yorkshire. They have strong family values, like a love for fairness, quality, creativity and the importance of treating people with respect. They are completely, utterly devoted to the pursuit of extraordinary flavor.
Their story starts back in 1886, and although they’ve grown a little since then, Taylors of Harrogate have stayed true to their craft values. It’s because their family roots run more than a century deep – and they’ve never lost their independent streak.
Taylors of Harrogate want their impact on the world to be positive. Their trading relationships with tea farmers are based on fair prices, collaboration and mutual respect – and they re-invest part of their profits in community and environmental projects. All their tea comes from independently certified sources – Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade or UTZ.
Taylors is built on long term relationships, often developed over decades. They're proud to be founding members of the Ethical Tea Partnership, which helps producers meet internationally recognized standards. Their buyers regularly travel to visit the farms and co-operatives that supply our tea and coffee and have a genuine rapport with their suppliers – because when we work with people, we want those relationships to be real and sustainable.
