Cranberry & Orange Marmalade Scones with Glaze

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/3 cup sugar

1 tbsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

1/2 cup dried cranberries
-
2/3 cup heavy cream (plus extra for brushing)

1 large egg
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
Glaze:
-
1/4 cup Tiptree Orange Marmalade

2 tbsp powdered sugar
Directions
Step 1: Preheat
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Step 3: Cut in Butter
Add the cold butter and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work it into the flour until the mixture is crumbly. Stir in the cranberries.
Step 4: Add Wet Ingredients
In a small bowl, whisk together the cream, egg, and vanilla. Pour into the dry mixture and stir gently until the dough comes together.
Step 5: Shape & Bake
Turn dough onto a floured surface and shape into an 8-inch circle about 1 inch thick. Cut into 8 wedges and place on the prepared baking sheet. Brush tops with a little cream. Bake for 18–20 minutes, until golden brown.
Step 6: Glaze & Serve
Warm the marmalade and whisk with powdered sugar. Drizzle over cooled scones before serving.
